Business Advisory Councils
All Ohio school districts and Educational Service Centers need to have a Business Advisory Council. Ohio is proud to be home to over 110 Business Advisory Councils. These locally focused partnerships convene education and business leaders to engage in dialogue, build trust and identify strategies that transform the student learning experience. The Ohio Department of Workforce and Education provides a variety of supports and resources to the Business Advisory Councils across the state.

Business Advisory Councils (BACs), help create sound, collaborative links between industry partners and K-12 school districts.

Awards for Excellent Business Advisory Councils
Each year, Business Advisory Councils have the opportunity to submit for a 2, 3, or 4 star rating for the collaborative work done with industry partners. The award application is sent via the state submission system, and a board of reviewers make decisions with award announcements each spring. The Business-Education Leader Awards for Excellent Business Advisory Councils is highly regarded praise from the Ohio Department of Workforce and Education in acknowledgement of the work done on these efforts.
