Overview

The CTE-26 application is located in the  OHID Portal and requires users to have the appropriate Career-Technical Education Login Roles. This application allows school districts to submit new or renewal applications for career-technical programs. This is done on an approval cycle period, with annual dates for the portal opening and deadlines being set by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. See their site regarding the CTE-26 application for specifics dates as they are released.

The Career Pathway Support Network regional staff is heavily involved in the process for renewing CTE-26 applications and serves as a conduit for information sharing, professional development, pathway discussions, and more. The creation of a career-technical pathway starts long before the CTE-26 application is even started, and the regional staff encourages interested parties to reach out regarding this process prior to beginning an application in the portal.  Approved CTE programs are valid for five consecutive fiscal years. Renewal application approval shall be subject to review under ORC. 3317.161 section (E). This application portal is used for career-field pathways, career-based intervention, family and consumer science, industry credential only, and innovative pathway programs.

For the most current information, application submission timelines, and more, district administrators are encouraged to visit the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce CTE-26 webpage.
