Michelle Washington, Business & Education Program Specialist with the Ohio Department of Workforce and Education’s Office of Graduate Success will be holding a special BAC Office hour webinar on November 13, 11-11:45 am. to discuss Revised code 3302.03.

From Michelle: You might have already received questions regarding implementation. At this time there is no guidance, however, I would like the opportunity to discuss how this is being handled by districts. This revised code gives BAC the opportunity to help traditional schools develop high quality work-based learning experiences for students and earn meaningful OhioMeansJobs readiness seals towards graduation.

The Code Reads:
(viii) Earning an OhioMeansJobs-readiness seal established under section 3313.6112 of the Revised Code and completing two hundred fifty hours of an internship or other work-based learning experience that is either:

(I) Approved by the business advisory council established under section 3313.82 of the Revised Code that represents the student’s district; or
