To prepare students for success in life and careers, Ohio recognizes Career-Technical Education courses approved under the state’s transfer initiatives as Advanced Standing Courses. Commonly these transfer initiatives are known as Career-Technical Assurance Guide (CTAG) and Industry Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guide (ITAG). This guidance document is intended to support schools and districts in implementing consistent policies for career-technical education courses when a district grading or class standing policies weights advanced standing and/or honors courses.

This information can be found on the Ohio Department of Workforce and Education Website under career tech planning, funding and accountability, and the guidance document can be found via this link.
