The Tech Prep Southwest Region is pleased to host the annual Scrubs Camp, in partnership with Cincinnati State, UC Health, The Health Collaborative, and Great Oaks Career Campuses.
50 students in Health Care programs at Diamond Oaks were hosted for 5 days at Cincinnati State and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Students get to participate in hands-on sessions learning about a variety healthcare careers, take a tour of the hospital and interact with different departmental providers, observe patient care in four different rotations, and more. The final day of the camp students and their families are hosted at Cincinnati State for a celebratory luncheon to share learnings and capstone the great week of learning.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of all partners, these students get an extensive look at what majors and careers they can pursue after graduation, learn about tuition reimbursement and scholarships programs, and begin relationships with college faculty and industry mentors.
