Department sessions will highlight student career tools
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has updated the statewide Career Connections Framework, providing a new set of practical, student-driven tools and public-facing resources to support the state’s vision that every student graduates with a clear, personalized career plan.
The refreshed framework offers clearer guidance and more consistent K-12 supports to help students connect their learning to future opportunities, including college, training, apprenticeships, military service, and the workforce.
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce will host virtual public information sessions on July 30 and Aug. 4 to introduce these updates. The sessions will walk participants through what has changed, why the statewide approach is evolving, and how the new tools and resources can be adapted to meet the needs of schools, educators, students, and families. Attendees also will learn about the role of Ohio’s regional Career Pathway Support Networks and the statewide resources available to help schools strengthen their local career planning efforts.
